The Beni M’Rirt tribe plunges us into the quintessence of abstraction and at the same time induces contemplation. The similarity with the works by Rothko is undeniable, the same shading of colors as well as the way they melt into each other. The color is the central subject, which also refers to artists like Ryman, Soulages and Yves Klein. The color scale remains framed by natural pigments. Red, orange and yellow are common while, green, blue and purple are rare.
